State Champs

Well, here another layout I created for the design team at The Crafty Scrapper.  Yes...I have a total of 5 layouts that were given to me to make.  I lov ed each one of them because they brought back such good memories.  This photo is my daughter Mandy in 1992.  She was playing on Martin High School soccer team and they qualified to play for the state title in Austin, Texas.  They actually won and we were all so thrilled.  Once the girls returned they each received a letter that their names were to be placed on the Wall of Fame at the Arlington Independent School Building.  This was Martin's first time to ever win state for the girls soccer team.  Please see the following items that I used to create this layout.

Scrapbook Creations - Soccer Trendy paper
Black & Red Cardstock paper
Champion & Pass - Not sure who made these
Maya Roads - Flower and Flourishes
Martha Stewart - Circle Cutter
Tim Holtz - Distressed Black Ink
Soccer Ball with Flames - I pulled that from the internet

Colby

I love this black and white photo of my newest grandson Colby.  I did this layout for the design team of The Crafty Scrapper.  All the items were given to me to use except for just a few little things of my own.  I really love the paper which is Reminisce - Monkey Adventure - Zany Monkees!!  I think the little sock monkey is so cute!  The other papers are Bo Bunny - Blast Off Collection.   I did cut out the clouds  to make them pop out more.  The paper is so busy that I preferred not to do too much to this little layout.  Therefore, after adding the envelope I just decided it needed a little ribbon with Prima wooden buttons.  I then added the stick pins.

These are the items that I used:

Reminisce - Monkey Adventure - Zany Monkees paper
BoBunny - Blast Off Collection paper
Maya Roads - Envelopes, Bird, Flourishes, and Stick Pins
Tim Holtz - Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Aderondack - Aqua and Royal Dabbers
May Arts - Periwinkle Ribbon

Such A Blessing

I did this layout while Miss Patty and I were at a retreat.  It has been awhile since we had gone to Stolen Moments Inn in Maypearl and we had a blast.  This photo is my gd Paityn.  She loves to play dress-up and she is wearing a top of mine.  She saw flowers growing around a tree in the front yard and asked if she could pick one.  Of course I said but I need to take a little photo.  So she patiently waited for me to get my camera.  I love this little photo.   I used Basic Grey Oxford paper and Anna Griffin Lace paper.  I cut out the Lace paper (the inside) and added Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink.  I then used paper by Recollection and LaPetites by Paper Studio which I also inked.  I then added Prima flowers and Jolee's Fleur de Lis.  I made the circle with Martha Stewarts circle cutter.  I inked both sides with Vintage Photo.  Other items I used are Diamond stickes, Viva - Pearl Pin - Magenta and Maya Roads Stick Pins.  I am not sure who made the pretty lace but I knew I had to use it for this layout.

Thank you so much for looking!!

Lovely Miss Heather

This is a mini album I did for my oldest daughter Heather.  You see she does not have any children where my other three children do.  I am always doing a layout of my grandchildren.  So...I found this little album and decided to do pictures of her.  On the cover I placed her initials HRC ( Heather Rene' Cameron) and added "this is the best part of my day card".

The photo on the left is her wearing a hat she bought for my daughter-in-laws baby shower.  We were having a tea party and we needed to wear hats.  The photo on the right I am not sure where she was when this was taken but I love the photo.

The photo on the left was taken when she and her sister were in New York.  It was very cold and the wind was blowing rather hard but I still love the photo.  The photo on the right was taken by Blue Moon Photography.  The lady that took this photo also takes pictures of the stars.  I LOVE this photo!

The picture on the left her hair was dyed darker (for it is normally a dark ash blonde).  The photo on the right was taken again by Blue Moom Photographer.  This photo I really, really love.  I like the fact she was sitting in a round swing with flowers.

The photo on the left she is dancing with a gentlemen at a party.  She is giving the person taking the picture a smack with her lips.  The picture on the right was also taken at a party but I am not sure where she was at.  She belongs to Junior League and it most likely was an event that she was attending.

I used various papers and embellies that I have in my stash.  Sorry... I wish I knew who all made them.

Thanks for looking!!

Prizes!!

Yes...I finally won a challenge on scrapbook.com!!  I entered into a challenge on a "Heritage Layout".  On September 29th I had just finished working on a layout of myself and decided to enter the contest.  It was the next to the last day to enter but I thought...Oh well give it a try.  Three days later I received an email stating that I had won!!  I was so thrilled and was also told that I would receive a gift from the lady who was sponsoring the challenge.  A week later I received this cute little gift.  It is  6 X 6 cardstock, yellow lace, flowers, brads, and a pretty box with flowers.  I was so excited!!  The layout I created is on this blog "Beautiful Memories".  Please check it out if you get a chance.

Here is a smaller picture of that layout:

Rock-A-Bye Baby

This is one of the very first photos of my new grandson Colby.  His mother has him in her hands and I just LOVE it!!!  I have not had the opportunity to scrap many pictures of him but this one just tugs at my heart.  He spent the first week in the NICU ward so we were so glad to have him home.  This photo was taken when he was a month old.  I loved the black and white photo of this too.   I finally got my hands on Prima Londonerry Collection - Pickwick paper and Botanical papers.  It goes well with the little photo.   I love the simplicity of this layout and elements.  I know there seems to be alot going on but it was a very easy layout to make.

Here are the items that I used:
Prima - Londonerry Collection - Pickwick paper
Prima - Botanical (2)
Prima - Softees Collection - Bonnet flower
Prima - Covlentry Collection - Romantique flower
Maya Roads - Green Lace
Tim Holtz - Distress Ink - Vintage Photo

You Are Beautiful

I have had for awhile the new Prima papers Londonerry and Romantique Collection.  I really love these papers for they are so beautiful and detailed.  My gd Paityn stayed several nights with me and one day I fixed her hair and we were sitting outside.  I decided to take this little photo of her.  She was lost in her own little thoughts.  After I printed it up I realized that it would work great with the Prima papers.  The colors just worked so well together.  I also had a scrap of Graphic 45 paper and used that to make the circle with Martha Stewart circle cutter.  I distressed the edge and inked with Tim Holts Vintage Photo.  I cut out the flowers in the bottom right corner and added EK Success mini pearls to the center of the flowers.  I could not decide which lace that I needed but then...there it was...lace from Prima.  It is not a true white but just a hint of yellow.  I then looked around and found a birdcage from Tim Holtz die cuts.  I thought this would be perfect and added flowers inside it.  I also used Making Memories paint...pink and yellow...I just blended them together to get this look.  I then found Prima flowers which I grouped together.  I found my butterfly punch (2) different ones and cut them out using light blue cardstock.  I added Diamond stickles to make them shimmer.

Thank you so much for looking and please sign in to my followers.  I really appreciate your comments!

These are the products that I used:
Prima - Londonerry Collection - Pastorale paper
Prima - Romantique Collection - Gazette paper
Graphic 45 - Once Upon a Springtime paper

Scary Halloween

Well...I had this beautiful Halloween paper and knew I had to do a layout.  I looked through my many photos and found this cute photo of 3 of our children.  Heather, Mandy, and Ryan.  I had almost forgotten about this photo.  Anyway, I used Moxxie paper line which is so cute and scary.  I then used Martha Stewart circle cutter and then distressed around the outer edge.  I added distressed paper behind the photo.  I decided not to ink the edges for it would have blended into the paper and would not be seen.  I had from Recollection the Halloween banner, from Hobby Lobby I added the cut outs (bat, flourish, skull, and Scary Halloween).  I had from Prima the orange flowers and I am not sure where I got the black flowers for I have had them awhile.  I added the Halloween brads that I found at Hobby Lobby.  I took Making Memories paint (monarch, asphalt, and celery) and sprinkled all over the page to give it the final touch.

Here are the items that I used:
Moxxie - Midnight Dreaary - Some Like it Haunt paper
Moxxie - Midnight Dreary - Apothe-scary paper
Moxxie - Bump in the Night - Trick or Treat paper
Prima flowers - 2 orange flowers
Hobby Lobby - Halloween buttons, cut outs
Recollections - Halloween Banner
Making Memories - paint (monarch, celery, asphalt)
Martha Stewart Circle Cutter

You Are Unique

Well, here is another example of a new technique I have been trying out on layouts.  I used Bazzill gray cardstock.  I then took white acrylic paint and painted the background.  I then used Mulberry paint and dipped my fingers in it and made all the little red dots.  I decided to use this old photo which is me and my mom in 1951.  We were outside our home in Van, Texas.   I decided to just use red with splashes of white and brown.  I took a white sheer ribbon , made a bow and then I dipped it into red paint.  Yes, my fingers were very messy!!!  But I then placed it on the area and let it dry.  Needless to say the ribbon needed no glue for it stuck to the cardstock perfectly.  I also added a piece of paper which I used a Martha Stewart punch and her circle cutter.  I glued all this together.  I then added red Prima flowers and brown flowers plus a rose cut out from Prima as well.  I then found a brown Prima flower and 3 buttons from Prima as well.  I placed them in the corner and then added white and red paint to each one.  I also cut out a brown piece of paper and a button from Prima and then added paint to it.  I took a brush and added small white dots of paint to the cardstock.  I also used white paint in various areas which I thought needed to be highlighted.  I hope you like this.  It took me awhile to put it all together but I rather like the effect.

"Bliss"

Ok - I love this layout.  It is different from any other layout I have created.  This photo is my gs Logan and he must have been about 1-1/2 years old.  I placed the photo on Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden paper.  I then cut out flowers from various other papers.  Not sure who made the paper but I loved the flowers.  I then glued it all on and then I added green lace.  I found an old key and used Tim Holtz Bliss Ticket.  I added the orange flower from Maya Roads.    I then took acrylic paint from Making Memories "manarch" and painted in various places and on the small butterfly that I cut out.  I then took acrylic paint "Colbalt Blue" and "Funky Vintage" and sprinkled it all over the layout.  I love how it turned out.  I may have to try to do more of the painting in my layouts.  We shall see!!!

Cherish The Moment

I was going through alot of old photos and I ran across this one of my dad.  I had forgotten about this photo for several years.  He was 17 when he joined the Navy.  The day they bombed Pearl Harbor was also his birthday and his older brothers had decided to join the war.  So, my dad had to do the same.  He lied about his age!!  OMGOSH!!!  I wish I knew who these other three men are but since my dad passed away last year at the age of 85 I no longer know.  Perhaps if he was still alive he could give me their names.  I often wonder if they are still alive.  My dad is on the right side of the photo.  Just look at his baby face.  LOL

I am using the new Prima paper from the Printery Collection -  Negative papers.  I also used Creative Imaginations paper as well.  I was looking for something rather old looking to use.  I also decided not to use the normal red, white, and blue papers since my dad is no longer with us.  I inked the papers with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo.  I also used Tim Holtz Dream and Trust tickets which I added them with Prima Buttons which looks rather old themself.  I found red, white, and blue Prima flowers and added them.  I wanted something rather simple.  I then found in my stash a large flourish from Maya Roads and I used Ranger Crackle paint - Picket Fence and then inked the edges with Vintage Photo.  The US Navy seal and God Bless America in the frame by KaiserCraft I found on the internet.  Thank goodness we have access to the computer!!  I also bought at The Crafty Scrapper another product I believe from KaiserCraft the sign which I typed in World War II and cut it out to fit.  I then added Cherish the moment which is a rub on.  I wish I knew who made it but it is something that I have had for years.  I used a small red ribbon to add to the botton of the page and then added by Maya Roads the gold and white stick pins.

Here are the items that I used:
Prima Printery Collection - Negative papers
Creative Imaginations paper
Tim Holtz - Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
Tim Holtz - Trust and Dream tickets
Prima - Memories sign
Prima - flowers
Maya Roads - Flourish
Maya Roads - Star Stick Pins
Ranger Crackle Paint - Picket Fence
KaiserCraft - Frame
EK Success - Black Pearls

Beautiful Moments

I had in my hands the new line of Prima.  I LOVE this paper.  This photo is me when I was 2 and it seems I am not happy about being on this little tricycle.  I used Martha Stewart circle cutters and cut out 3 various sizes of circles which I then distressed and  inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo.  I did this so I could use the little FabScraps - Bicycle chipboard.  I painted it with Adirondack Aqua Dabber and  inked it with Vintage Photo.  I then added little pearls.   I used BoBunny Timepiece and Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden papers which I curled up the corners and inked them with Vintage Photo.  I added the green and lace ribbon from Maya Roads.  I just bought some Prima Flowers and added them.   I used a stamp that I have which says "Life is full of beautiful moments, make them all count."  I really loved that quote and felt it works with the photo.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look!  Please add your name to my friends and leave a comment which I really appreciate.

Remembering

This is a photo of me and my grandmother "Nenny".  I was around 7-8 months old and she was 38.    I was not sure that I really liked this photo but the more I looked at it I knew that I had to do a layout.  I was at The Crafty Scrapper and they had just received their latest shipment from Prima and I just LOVE it.  All the papers, flowers, and embellies are so gorgeous.  I used Prima Romantique Collection - Estella paper and Printery Collection - Love Ledger paper.  I thought it would look great with this photo.  I used Martha Stewart circle cutter to cut out 2 circles.

I used Martha Stewart circle cutter and then I distressed the edge and used Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo.  On one of the circles I cut out little sections and ran ribbon around the circle and added orange pearls from EK Success.  The inner circle I folded the paper as if I were making a fan.  I also distressed around the cirlce and inked it as well.  On the edges of the fold I used Diamond Stickles to add a little punch.

I found a little pendent that I have been wanting to use.  I also used Prima flowers, Avon Rose Collection and Country Rose Collection.  I found Maya Roads flourishes and painted them with Brown Dabber and then stickled them as well.

Thank you for looking!

These are the items that I used:

Prima Romantique Collection - Estella paper
Prima Printery Collection - Love Ledger paper

Dream

I found this photo of my parents which was taken in 1949 after they were married.  I love the look my dad is giving my mother.  They were so in love with each other.  She was 17 and he was 24.   Today she would have been too young to get married.  However, she had already graduated from high school and was enrolled in a secretary school.  They were married for 61 years until his death in April 2010.  He is missed every day!  They had 4 children which I was the oldest.  My dad named me Ginger.

These are the items that I used:

Maya Roads red rose ribbon

Princess

I really love this photo of my granddaughter Paityn.  However, since this was taken she now has had her hair cut short which is sooo cute!!  Another layout on that!!!  Paityn has always called herself a little princess so therefore I really thought this layout would work.   I really love the papers and used various ones with flowers. I then found a paper that had Cinderella so I just cut it out and used it as well.  I love the transparent flowers and added Dream & Giggle to the stem.

Here are the items that I used:

Christmas Mini Album

I just love this mini album.  It is one that was given to me from The Crafty Scrapper for the design team.  We were also given Christmas paper and embellishments to create something special.  I glued the paper on each page and then sanded it down nice and smooth.  I then added Merry Christmas.  I had in my own stash this pocket watch which comes in 2 separate pieces.  I added the little reindeer and then glued it all together.  I then painted it with Gold and then added Star Dust Stickles on top to make it glisten.  I also had the holly and berries which I painted with dabbers ( green and red) and then added the stickles to make it shine as well.  I felt that it just needed a little something else so I added this little flourish which I painted black and added…you got it….Star Dust Stickles!!!  This mini album had a chain attaching all the pages but I took that off and added my little red ring and added lots of ribbon.

The photo on the left is at my home a few days before Christmas.  This is my family and some reindeer that came to visit all the grandchildren.  They all had a great time.  The photo on the right is Mrs. Claus and Santa arriving that same night to make sure everyone has been good!!!

On the left I added Bo Bunny trinket and a poinsettia with tiny white  & blue snowflakes with little pearls added to the centers.  I added our Family as well.  On the right I added Bo Bunny trinket with Maya Roads snowflake.  I added white ribbon which I painted light green with a green pearl.  I also added tiny little snowflakes as well.

On these two lovely pages I added the Christmas paper and added these two sweet photos.  The one on the left is my grandson Logan talking to Mrs. Claus and Santa at our home.  The photo on the right is all our grandchildren listening to Santa reading to them “Twas The Night Before Christmas”.  I just love watching their little faces as Santa is reading. These two pictures were taken a few days before Christmas which Santa also brought to them a little pre-gift.

On the left side I added Maya Roads greenish blue rose ribbon and I had a little snowflake but then I added a rose ornament from Maya Roads to make it really stand out which I then added a little green glass piece to the center of the rose.  I also used Bo Bunny Christmas ornament and added the little glass pieces to it as well.  I then added Star Dust Stickles to the little berries in the paper.  On the right side I added another snowflake which I painted with a dabber and then added another little snowflake on top with a green glass piece.  I used by Graphic 45 a tag of Santa reading to children which worked perfectly with the photo I had taken.  I used ribbon to place it on the page and then I added a little lace flower and added by Bo Bunny a cardstock button and ran thread through it.  I then added stickles to make it all twinkle!!

The photo on the left is my grandson Logan and on the right is my granddaughter Kenzie on Christmas Eve.  They are all given a gift to open for being so good throughout the year!

On the left I already had a wooden frame which I painted using Pepper Dabber and then added Logan’s little photo.  I was given by Maya Roads a brown clock which I used Aqua ink and then added white and blue snowflakes and then added a little pearl to the center of each one.  I also used Bo Bunny brown button and added white ribbon which I painted blue and then of course I had to use stickles to give it a twinkle.  On the right side I added a blue border around the photo.  I was given a white cloth button (on the top right corner) which I made a pretty little bow and then added a white button which was given to me and a little cardstock and tied it all on with a blue thread.  I was also given a little teapot and cups and a cupcake which I thought looked really well with the photo of a little girl and her doll.  So…I painted the teapot and cups plus the cupcake.  I then added the black design.  To finish it all up I added more stickles!!!

I love these two photos.  The photo on the left is my other granddaughter Paityn.  She is opening her little gift on Christmas Eve which is a very cute little phone.  She loves talking on the phone so this gift is perfect.  The photo on the right was taken on Christmas Day which they both received these little chairs and was more than happy to seat awhile!

On the left I used gold ribbon which I added a crystal buckle to it.  I had by Jolee an old key which I added more ribbon and a little Christmas ornament.  I then added by Maya Roads the leaf stick pins.  I was also given a brown snowflake from Maya Roads which I added Chestnut Roan ink and placed it behind the little photo.  Then I added white and blue snowflakes and then added little pearls to the center.  On the right I added little paper tags from Graphic 45 and then added a little wooden ruler.  I then added blue ink to the edge and added red rick rack ribbon which I added little black pearls.  I had another white cloth button which I added poinsettia and added leaves to the back of it.  I did paint the button red on the edge and then added by Maya Roads leaf and pearl stick pins.  I had more red rick rack at the top of the page, added black pearls, and then used Bo Bunny trinkets at the top which I added pink glass pieces around the border.

These two last pages are the finale of Christmas Day.  We are all so tired that we all eventually took a nap after opening the gifts and eating a very large dinner.  On the left side is my son Christopher and his wife Ashley who was pregnant with their second child.  On the right is my daughter in law Tiffany and my oldest son Ryan.  My two daughters and I were just watching them nod off to slumberland.  LOL

I added green rose lace by Maya Roads on the left page.  I used by Jolee a pocket watch and added a chipboard tag of a little child sleeping which goes perfectly with the photos.  I tied both pieces together with  green/gold ribbon and added a blue button.  I also added a tag at the top of the page and added stickles to make it all shine.  On the right I had this beautiful white flower which I added a glass button ornament and put a stick pin through it to hold it to the flower which is all by Maya Roads.  I then added white and blue snowflakes with a pearl in the center to give the flower an extra dimension.  In my stash I had the two little frames that I placed around their photo and then had this little tag and a little trinket to the page.  I then finished it up with stickles!

Thank you so much for looking at this mini album.  I hope you have enjoyed viewing it as much as I did putting it all together.
