Little Siblings

I love, love this paper by Creative Imaginations.  It is called Friendship and I was so excited to see it at The Crafty Scrapper.  I was looking for a photo of Kenzie and Colby and at last I found one that I thought might work on this layout.  I cut out a circle and then 2 sheets of paper and then added all the cute embellies which I from Ragamuffin by Creative Imaginations.  I then used by Tim Holtz this large hinge which I used Picket Fence Crackle Paint and then inked the outside and added EK Success Blue Pearls.  I also got at The Crafty Scrapper this cute red ribbon and I am not sure who makes it but it goes perfectly with this paper and photo.  I then added another little ribbon on top of it.  I also added Prima flowers.

Little Dreamer

This sweet photo is my gd Paityn.  I believe she looks like she is lost in a daydream.  I designed this layout for the Design Team at The Crafty Scrapper.  I was given very lovely papers to work with and lots of ribbon and flowers.  The paper is October Afternoon - Typing Pad, Steno Pad, and Coffee Bread paper.  I stitched around the second sheet with a light golden thread.  I then added a little circle doiley which I stained with Time Holtz Rusty Hinge and then added Vintage Photo Ink to the inside.  I then took Maya Roads flourish and used the Rusty Hinge Stain on it and once it dried I used Glossy Accent on the top which gave it a very rich feeling.  I also did the same to the cloth butterfly by Maya Roads.  I had 2 off white lace which I glued both of them on and added a little orange ribbon to separate them.  I used by Tim Holtz the clock die cut and Maya Roads little brown flower and stick pins.

Lets Play

I love this paper which was given to me for the Design Team at The Crafty Scrapper.    They know I have a new little grandson Colby so this sweet paper is always reserved for me.  I love the colorful strip of this BoBunny Collection of On The Go.    It has all the little cards, dump trucks, airplanes which goes so well with a boy theme layout.  I used Martha Stewart circle cutter and then I had an old punch I used on the circle which the little cut outs I just staggered throughout the layout.  On one of the papers it had circles of trucks and airplanes so I cut them out and added to this page.  I was also given a clock and cute little blue buttons which I placed inside the clock.  There was a clear ribbon with the alphabet but I felt it needed to be seen better so I placed orange cardstock underneath it.  When you have paper that is so bright and has cute little boy theme it does not need to much exrtras but only use what the paper offers.  I really like this because the little photo is Colby playing with a little car.

Here is a list of items that I used:

BoBunny - On The Go Paper Collection
Maya Roads - Clock, (2) Flowers
Yellow Ribbon - ??
Clear Alphabet Ribbon - ??
Blue & White Buttons - ??
Prima - Rose
Ranger Archival Black Ink
Martha Stewart - Circle Cutter
Blue Thread
Maya Roads - Clothes Pen

Fleur de les

I created this painting at an art class this week.  There was approximately 15 of us their and we brought in wine and goodies to eat.  I having a sore throat only drank my Dr. Pepper and passed on any goodie to eat.  It took us 2 hours to create our masterpiece.  This one is mine and of course I had to add a little to it to make it just mine!!  My daughter Heather went too plus my daughter-in-law Ashley.  We are thinking seriously about going back for another class.  We had such fun!!!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Calendar

This  is a Calendar that my daughter and I made for her boyfriend  on Valentines Day.  This frame has seven 4 X 6 photos.  We took scrapbook paper and cut them and placed in each frame.  Then we cut out letters with my Cricut machine. We could only print them 1" so they would fit correctly.  Once completed placed back into the frame along with the glass.  Then you take a Dry Erase pen and you can write what you need to on each glass.  On Tuesday Heather  wrote I Love You!
This is just a decorative way to plan your week by writing on each glass and when completed you can just wipe it off!  I wish I had thought of this project myself...but I did not!!!  Thanks to Heather for showing me this cute idea!

Frame

This is  for the design team at The Crafty Scrapper.  We were each given a die cut on chipboard and we were given no directions.  So, once I put it all together I decided to do layouts of my parents.  The middle photo is shortly after they were married in 1949.  The other two are individual photos of them.  My Dad has passed away and my Mom is 80.

I knew that these photos would be perfect for the paper that I chose. I love this vintage feel and hopefully you will too.  I added the paper very carefully and then painted parts of the paper with white paint.  I added Tim Holtz hinges which I painted as well.  I used Prima flowers to accent the middle photo along with a little bird and Maya Roads stick pins.  At the top of also added another little bird and flowers.

This is the back of the frame which I decided it needed to be decorated as well to make it all fit together.  On the left I added a silver heart and placed a capital S which Storey is our family name.  On the middle I placed Mom and Dad 1949.  On the right I added a beautiful antique button and tied ribbons around it with a letter F for family!

Thank you so much Carolyn and The Crafty Scrapper for giving us on the design team something so beautiful to create and to use our own imagination!!!

My Family Vacation - Colorado

I made this sweet little mini album for the design team of The Crafty Scrapper.  I used all the wonderful pages that was given to me which was so perfect for our vacation to Colorado.  We all had a great time but we were missing our son Ryan and his wife Tiffany.  They just had a baby girl and were unable to join us on this trip.

At last we landed in Colorado, rented two SUV'S and our first stop was the Continental Divide!  It was so beautiful and we all quickly put on our jackets for it was getting alot cooler.  This photo is some of our children!

We went to the Royal Gorge and it was completely spectacular!!  It was also a very hot day so we were moving rather slowly.  The bridge was so gorgeous and the views were amazing.  We were there nearly all day.  We did take a train down to the river below and watched rafters go by.  We also found a great little spot for a picnic!

This is Winter Park where we stayed.  It was so beautiful there! At the park there were so many gorgeous flowers blooming and so many things for us to do.  We played miniature golf, road down a slope on their sleds, etc.  The photo on the right we took a ski lift to the top where there was a beautiful log resort at the top where you can eat, etc.  The other photo is the view below which is spectacular!!

The Rocky Mountains are so beautiful to see!  This was my most favorite part of the trip.  Every where you looked you saw something so amazing!  I now know why John Denver wrote the song Rocky Mountain High! BEAUTIFUL!!!

Here are more photos of us at The Rocky Mountains.  While we were at the top we saw a lot of elk.  There were so many crazing and they were not afraid of us taking pictures of them.  On our way to the top we stopped and a person took our photo.

We went to the Garden of the Gods.  These two little ones are my grandchildren, Logan and Kenzie.  There are so many unusual and large rock formation to see!

Aaah!  Pikes Peak!  This was a wonderful trip to the top.  It was cloudy that day and a bit cool but we boarded the train to ride to the top.  The higher we got the colder it became.  It was not as beautiful at the Rocky Mountains but it was magnificent to see!  At the top is where this sign is and you will notice it is all covered with snow!!  To my surprise I was wearing flip flops and my feet was freezing!!

This is our trip to The Seven Falls.  We entered it on ground level and you can see below the falls.  Once we got below there was Indians and their tepees!  My daughters and their kids got to dance with them plus go into their tepees.  It was a beautiful adventure for us all.
Well, here we are at the end of our trip!  We all had a great time but we were all very tired and was waiting to board our flight back home.  The photo on the left is my grandson Logan at the top of Pikes Peak!

Thanks for taking a trip with me and hopefully you will be able to go to Colorado to see all the magnificent mountains that is there.  I would love to live there but...my hubby really prefers the hot weather!!!  Perhaps I will be lucky to visit again!
