Soccer

I did this layout for CSI Color Stories Inspiration.  These colors are so gorgeous!

This is how I solved this case!
CSI Color, Stories, Inspiration

The Scheme:  Used all 5 colors
The Evidence:  Gears, Die Cuts, Plain Cardstock
The Testimony:  Soccer  _ Behind the photo it says:
My son Chris and his daughter Kenzie (standing on his right) was asked by Disney International Tournament to play.  We are the number one team in Texas and you had to be invited.  It was so wonderful for everyone.  Out of 14 teams in her age group we placed 6.  We were very excited!  We later spent three days at The Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Universal Studios.  A very wonderful week it was.

Please see the close-ups!

I used stencils, modeling paste, sprinkled various colors, used micro beads, etc.

I used die-cuts on the leaves and added lots of gears.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Beauty

I was gong through photos and I ran across this one of my oldest daughter Heather.  So I saw Maja Design Mood Board and knew that the colors would work.

I tore the main paper and added two others - the black and then the lace one.  I used a stencil and watercolor to the background and then splattered with with dark pink and black.

Here are the close-ups!

I used a chipboard which I painted and then added stickles.  I used a die cut for the black leaves and added micro beads.  This was so easy to create.

Thank you for looking and have a great day!

Smile

I did this layout for Scrap Africa Challenge.  I love working on various challenges and this is so so sweet!

I used another scrapbookers inspiration to do this sweet layout.  Here is the challenge.

Scrap Africa - Mood Board Challenge no.83

Hello Everyone

Welcome to a new month and a new challenge at Scrap Africa! ;-)
Sadly, this is this last challenge that will be hosted here.
I have loved each and every moment and every challenge, but the season for this challenge site is now coming to an end.
I can only say "thank you, from the bottom of my heart" for all your support and inspiration over the years.  You truly made this journey so delightful and blessed! ;-)

So, for this last challenge, please find the fresh and minty mood board.

You can create a card, tag, layout, an altered project, journal pages or even a digital project!
You can create whatever you like! ;-)
We would just love to know what inspired you from the mood and the sentiment behind your project!;-)

I love this photo of my granddaughter Paityn.  She had just finished getting her hair cut and fixed.  Love - Love it!

Here are the close-ups!

I used a stencil and then added watercolor to the background.  I add orange-red and black splatters to it as well.  The black circle around her photo is a die-cut.

I used micro beads and embossing chips and cut-outs for the leaves.

Thank you for looking!!

Eat Your Heart Out

I did this sweet layout for CSI Color Stories Inspiration.  I just love doing challenges.  This is my grandson Colby and he is feeding this longhorn.  Isn't he cute!

Here is the challenge plus the sketch.

The Scheme:  I used all 5 colors
The Evidence:  Stripes, Fabric, Distressing
The Testimony:  Eat Your Heart Out - Heading
On the tag behind the photo it reads:
My sweet little Colby.  He lovea to feed this longhorn.  Plus he also looks so cute wearing his little overalls without a shirt.  Such a little man!

Here are the close-ups!

Again this layout was so simple to create.  I placed the tag behind the photo.  Added the banner and then drew the lines on it.

I used a cloth fabric for the heart and added Eat Your Heart Out.  I also used die cuts for the various leaves.  I loved tearing paper to used different colors on this layout.

Thank you for looking and have a glorious day!

I created this layout using Lindy's Stamp Gang color challenge.  However, I am not submitting it because I do not have the stamps, sprays, etc.

This is my son Chris and his girlfriend Sarah.  This I thought looks great using the color challenge.  I used all the reds and pinks!  This layout was so easy to create.

Here are my close-ups!

I used watercolor for the background and then stamps around it.  I also used red watercolor for the splatters.

I used glitter and microbeads.  Plus I used red to turn the white ribbon a different color.

I took this so you can see the various layers.

Thank you for looking and have a wonderful day!

Together You & Me Friends

I love this layout of my sweet grandson Colby and his friend Harper.  They inspired me to do this layout for "More Than Words Challenge".

February 2017 Main Challenge
TOGETHER & AMPERSAND

It is February 1st and that means a brand new challenge here
at More Than Words, and we know you are going to LOVE this one!!
Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.
The challenge is open to layouts, canvases and art journal pages only.
Make sure to read our instructions below carefully!
Word Inspiration - TOGETHER
Creative Challenge - AMPERSAND
What does the word TOGETHER inspire you to create?
You can choose to add the word somewhere on your project or simply
be inspired to create from it. Please explain in your blog post
how the word inspired you, if not already obvious.

February is known to be the month of love throughout the world
and we want to celebrate this special month by focusing on the symbol
that brings us together, that connects us to one another... the logo of unity.
This symbol is called an AMPERSAND "&" and we would love to see
how you will use it on your project.
VERY IMPORTANT!
You have to incorporate both requirements of the challenge,
the word inspiration AND the creative challenge,
on your project to be eligible to win.
Just look at our designers' creations and descriptions as example.
Also, remember that you must include our board image
and a link to the More Than Words blog in your entry post.

Be Mine

I did this sweet Valentine for The Crafty Scrapper design team.  I was given this wooden pallet from Maya Roads.  I painted it a light pink and then used a darker rose color in various places.  Then I used black ink to go around the edges.

I cut out a heart and one a little larger.  I used pop dots to make it stand out more.  I then found this pretty heart lace to go on the back which I found at The Crafty Scrapper.  I also used ink to go around the top heart.  I added lots of small flowers and leaves.  I found a die cut from Tim Holtz the word Love.  I found in my stash a metal heart arrow and clock.  I cut out the banners and used a marker to write Be Mine.  Last but not least I added stickles to make it all shine.

Thank you for looking and you will find this at The Crafty Scrapper!
