Little Devil

This is my youngest grandson Colby.  A photographer took this cute little photo of him.  Doesn't he look like  a little devil!  LOL  Acutally he is a very sweet little one but he does have his moments!

I distressed, inked, used modeling paste, circle cutter, add flowers, etc. etc.

You can see the various layers that I used plus all the distressing.  I also used Tim Holtz flower cut out.  I found this little monkey in my stash and thought it would look great on this layout.

I used the largest rosette from Tim Holtz on this one and added a button.  I then added a wheel and a metal object plus cheesecloth.

I used plain yellow and red plastic stickers for little devil.  But they needed to stand out more so I used a black fine line marker to go around each letter.  This tip was given to me by Patty Rogers.

Here is a list of items that I used:

Paper Studio - Burlap Paper
Paper Studio - Birch Bark Paper
Paper Studio - Basic paper Pack
Prima Stencil - squares

Ice

Well living here is Texas the weather is almost always HOT except the last few days we have all been freezing!  An Arctic Blast showed its ugly head and we have had 2-4" of solid ice!  The temperatures have stayed below freezing for days!  At my home our garage is slightly downhill so it was impossible to get our cars out until Sunday afternoon!  We manage to take the shovel and scrap the driveway so we could get out.  We were so tired of being stuck in the house for three days!  We are still having difficulty driving especially on the overpasses!  But it seems to be getting better for the temperature is up to the 40's but dropping into the 20's at night.  By Friday, things should be back to normal.  LOL

I took this photo of my house and a close up of the trees.  Yes....we have had three large branches to fall off of our large tree in the front yard due to the weight of the ice.  I wanted this layout to look frosty.  It really looks better in person!  I distressed, inked, modeling paste, added glass bead gel, sprays, etc. etc.

I added flowers, leaves, which I added stickles, white lace,  plus I tore silver paper around the photo and added blue ink.

On this you can see the modeling paste and then spraying  with a mist which gives it a blue silvery look and makes the glass bead gels shimmer.  Again...you can see the details better in person.

I painted the snowflakes and then added blue glitter and a center.  If you look near the snowflake on your left you can see the glass bead gel better.

Here is a list of items that I used:

Bazzill - Purple Cardstock
Kirby Teesdale Paper Pack - Hobby Lobby
Maya Roads - Snowflakes
White Glittery Corrugated Paper- Michaels
Prima & Petaloo Flowers
Golden Glass Bead Gel

Smile

Here is a cute little photo of my granddaughter Paityn.  I just love this photo because she seems so grown up.  She is just four and I believe she has a lovely smile!  She is always so happy and she can really sing and dance.  Not kidding!!!  I really mean she can sing and dance which she has all the moves!!  She loves Taylor Swift and can sing and dance to each of her songs!!

I inked, distressed, added modeling paste, cut outs, burlap, and painted!

You can see the burlap which I pulled the strings and added flowers and a cut out of the dress form.

I used glittery white corrugated cardstock and inked with purple then added smile.  I had string left from the burlap and tied it into a knot and added a metal key.  I cut out two hearts and inked them as well.  I cut out the flowers on the bottom right corner and the butterfly.

I found this metal black bird sitting on a branch and decided to use it so used Gesso to paint it and then I wiped it off.  That way you can see the details.  I added flowers, plus I cut out the flower and butterfly.  I also used a stencil and used modeling paste.

Here is a list of the items that I used:

Fabscraps - Farm Fresh 2 Paper
My Minds Eye - Penny Lane - Purple Flowers Paper

John F. Kennedy (Remembering)

This is a photo taken by my dad.  It is an old Polaroid and it is 50 years old.  It was given to me years ago and I had it tucked away.  Since this is the 50th Memorial of his death I thought I would bring it out to see it once more.  My dad and uncle owned a gallery in Dallas and Ft. Worth during that time (1963).  I was 12 and in my 7th grade history class when we received the news of JFK's death.   My dad was given this photo to have framed but before he returned it my dad took this photo.  I am hoping to have it enhanced so I can see the images much clearer.  Hopefully it can be done.  If anyone knows where or how it can be done I would appreciate you leaving a comment.

I hope everyone enjoys seeing this photo.  I remember watching on tv when Lyndon B. Johnson was sworn in as our new President.  We later met him at a Texas / OU football game and got his autograph.  Since then many things have changed.

Thank you again for looking!

Beautiful

This lovely little girl is my granaddaughter Kenzie.  A photographer took this photo and it is so sweet. She loves her cowboy boots and says when she grows up she wants to be a Cowgirl!  I just love her!!!

I used various papers that I have had for some time.  I do not even know where they came from but I really love the green and pink combination.  Which is Kenzie's two favorite colors!  I tore the green paper and added lace underneath various places.  I then inked with Tim Holtz distress ink the green and pink.  I also used a chicken wire stamp.  I tore and folded the upper left corner of the paper and added more lace.  I have the rose cutouts that I used to create the large and small pink roses and then added white beads to the inside.  I used so many different items in this layout.

Please see below the list of items that I used:

Eddie & Me

I love this piece!  This is a photo of my husband and I a few years ago.  I have seen many videos of using scrapbook supplies and adding it to canvas.  However, this is my first attempt at it and I believe it  looks pretty good.  The latest video I watched was Gabrielle Pollacco.  Her work is so amazing!  I found lots of goodies in my stash with various lace, paints, etc.  There is way too much to say exactly what I used but at least you can get the idea.  There is still room for improvement which I do intend to explore.  I found this idea to be completely amazing!!

Thanks for looking!!

Seaside / Remember This Day / together / Forever

These four layouts are for my neice (Lindsay) album.  She asked me to put together a 12 X 12 album for her son Austin who is 12 (I believe).  I used so many different items and then added lots of goodies.  These layouts took my awhile to complete.

You see - about 4 weeks ago it had rained and I decided to go out on our covered patio and then I noticed the little bird feeder was empty.  I was barefooted and stepped out onto our deck which has been sealed but it was still wet and I forgot that it becomes rather slicky!  Obviously I took a nasty fall and both feet came off of the desk and I fell onto my right arm near my shoulder.  I first thought it was dislocated but obviously I could move it.  I went to the hospital and lucky for me it was not broken but all the tendons, muscles, legimates, are all swollen.  It still hurts to lift my arm but it is coming along.  At least it has not hindered my scrapbooking!!  LOL

Thank you for much for looking!!  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Beautiful / Caring

I finally got a new photo of my daughter Mandy.  The colors have been changed and I love it!  I wish I could tell you what all I used but I have had these papers for quiet sometime.  I did do a lot of work on this layout.  I used a templet on the birdcages and branch plus the triangles.  I added 2 colors of ink for the background plus tore pieces of paper and adhered them to the page.  I found a chipboard piece which I added white paint and then used Perfect Pearls to make the colors green and blue.  I used netting tape, cheesecloth and lots of goodies to this layout.  Most of the items I have had for a long time!!

Here is a list of some of the items:

Floral Paper is by Melissa Frances
Green Paper is by The Paper Studio

Perfect

This is such a lovely photo of my husband and granddaughter Kenzie.  We were in Port Boliver, Texas and after eating dinner that night we stepped out unto their deck and we were watching the beautiful sun setting!  My daughter-in-law took this photo of them just talking with the sun and water in the background.  It really seems to be so cool and calm and gave me a sense of peace and quietness.

I found old Halloween paper for the background and then used another one that I also have had for awhile.  I cut out using Martha Stewart punch.  I sewed around the paper added the cut out paper and then distressed it with Tim Holtz ink.  I also used embossing paste with a floral templet and added that to the scroll at the bottom left.  I then added paint and pearls to the scroll.  I added lots of flowers plus netting and Gesso paint.  I then found some white beads and glued those into place.

Here is a list of items that I used:

SEI - Salem Heights Collection - Hallows Paper

By The Sea

These sweet photos are my granddaughter Kenzie.  We were all at the beach in Galveston, Texas.  We rented a home on the beach front and the home was lovely.  It had 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.  I really loved the hammock outside which on two days I placed myself in it and promptly went to sleep in the cool breeze!  Ah...it was heavenly!!  These two photos were taken at night after we had just eaten at Stingarees!  Kenzie was dressed up and having a good time wading in the cool water!

I used various papers and one is from Graphic 45.  The light blue paper I have no idea who made it but I used 3 colors of chalk and then stamped and added modeling paste!  I cut out from Sizzix the leaves and used Prima flowers.

No Soliciting

Well, I made this for my daughter Heather.  Isn't it cute!  She found one some where and sent me a photo and asked me to please make one for her.  So here is my version.  I found the wood at Hobby Lobby and painted it black.  I then added two different sizes of stickers and then Mod Podge over the whole thing to seal in the stickers.  I then added ribbon and used thumb tacks on the back.

Remember When ...

Remember when ...  I was much younger.  This photo is me when I was 17 in 1968.  The top photo is me now at age 62!  Geez - It seems like yesterday until I look in the mirror!  Or it could be when I see my 4 children age 40 to age 30 along with my 4 grandchildren.  I realize that time really does fly by.  Especially when I visit my mother age 81 who has Alzheimer  and her mother (my grandmother) who will be 101 this summer.  She still drives, lives in her own apartment, and will go visit my mother.

I wanted to do a layout different from anything that I have ever done.  I used Gesso paint and lots of stamps.  I then tore scrap pieces of paper and started layering it all together.

You can see here the various layers that I used.

This is a closer look at the flowers that I used plus all the other additions.

The top left corner of his layout with the layering of items.

I used the follow items but is just scraps that I have around my scrapbook room:

White Gesso Paint
Dark, light Pink, Green Paint
Prima Flowers
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch

Thank you again for looking!

Beautiful

I have always loved this photo of my daughters Heather and Mandy with Logan - Mandy's son.  I have joined a challenge on scrapbook.com for Pintrest which has the colors of red, white, and blue.  I was in the mood to scrap so I just looked around for papers that might work.  I found the background paper from BoBunny and another from Fabscrap.  I am not sure who did the paper with the birds but I believe it might be from Melissa Francis.  Sorry...but I tossed away the rest of the paper!  I cut out a circle and added modeling paste to a mask (the clock).  I stamped the little hearts and added lots of flowers.  I also used a blue ink  around the edges of the papers.  I used a dark blue ribbon from Maya Roads - at least I believe it is by them for I have had it a year!

Here is a list of items that I used:

BoBunny - Serinity Damask Paper
Fabscrap - Shabby Chic Stripe Paper
Martha Stewart - Circle Cutter
Liquitex - Modeling Paste
Maya Roads - Flowers
Prima - Flowers
Blue Ink
Prima - Junkyard Findings - Lamp
