My Backyard

This is my backyard.  I love being outside and just seeing all the loveliness is so wonderful.  I still have a lot of work to do but it is coming along.

Please see the rest of the photos!

Also please notice the hot tub!  It is a great place to be during the fall, WINTER, and spring time.  The sun makes the water way to hot to be in it during summertime!!  Unless you want to get into it during the early morning hours!

My lovely Four O'Clocks!!! This is just a close up of the plant beginning to bloom which is during the evening time!

My sweet rose bush and other bushes! My son Ryan, Tiffany, and Paityn gave me this beautiful rose bush for Mother's Day.  I love it!!

A close up of the rose bush!  Gorgeous!!!

This is part of the patio and deck.  You most likely noticed the hot tub we have as well.  It is so nice just being out here.  However, once the heat rises over 100 being outside is not much fun!
But on a nice spring or fall day it is so pleasant.  If you notice we have a small car swing for our little grandchildren.  They love swinging out here!

I also want to thank Troy my future son-in-law for helping me on a flower bed!

Thank you for visiting my backyard!  I just wanted to share this with you!!!

Beach

This is my sweet gs Colby.  We were at the beach in Galveston, Texas and he was playing with the sea weed that was washed upon the shore.  I cut out his little photo with the sea weed.  I took this paper from BoBunny - Serenity Love - (I used the backside) and painted a little water and then added background dots.  I found some netting and used that with starfish and a real shell.  I then added a ships wheel, sail boat, and a sun.  I took banner pieces and painted them and added the words Beach to make a little banner at the top.  I then found red, white, and blue buttons to add a little something!!

Here are the items that I used:

BoBunny - Serenity Collection - Serenity Love Paper

This is my son Chris, his wife Ashley, and their two children, Kenzie and Colby.  We were in Galveston for a week and we decided to take the ferry to Port Boliver.  This was a photo of them which I love!!!  I did most of the art work myself.  I copied a mask from Tim Holtz and sprayed around it with a mist and then I took a pen and outlined it several times.  Then I stamped on grungeboard and cut them out.  I took a larger stamp from Stampin Up and used that as part of the background.  I used more grungeboard and cut out the large clock and used stain.

My Scrapbook Room

This is my scrapbook room.  You enter from the right of the tv.  Above you will notice a Nolan Ryan framed baseball ticket what was actually signed by him.  My sons gave this to   their dad several years ago.  I love Audrey Hepburn and my daughter in law gave me this pretty stick on of her.  I decided to place it on my closet door.  The little black bag is from The Crafty Scrapper which I am on their design team.

On this corner of the room is an antique shelf which belonged to my mother.  She gave this to me about 15 years ago.  I have a lot of paints, inks, punches, etc. displayed on it.

This is my desk that I do all my layouts on.  I  have my grandson's Beta fish (which I must feed once a day or else)!!  My friend Patty gave to me this pretty frame with a pin cushion where I have many of my stick pins on.  Of course there is the phone and my caddy with all my little goodies that I need for my layouts.

This is the window where my desk sits.  Patty made this banner that says Create which goes great with my color scheme.  Of course it is the Texas Longhorns colors!!  My whole family is a fan of the college and we have all been born and raised in Texas.  However, during the early spring and fall I love to work with the window open.  The nice breeze is so calming and I love to hear the little birds chirping!

This  little armoire belonged to my son Chris.  He was getting rid of it so I said I would love to have it to store all my scrapbooking items.  Inside I have all my papers, ribbons, flowers, and even my Cricut.

On this third wall is a white table and a chair which belonged to my grandmother.  She will be 100 in August and she asked me if I would like to have it.  She bought it in 1928 and was the first thing she got after she was married.  It has been painted several colors but at the moment it is white.  I keep my sewing machine on it which is really handy.  On the left side you will see my husbands diploma from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1973.  He received this for Bachelor of Business Administration. Underneath is my yearly calendar with pictures of Audrey Hepburn.  The rest are several layouts of my grandchildren minus the youngest for I have not completed that layout yet.  The rest are mini albums of my grandmother and the other is a Tea Party and it is a baby shower we gave for my daughter in law.  The other layout was done by Patty which is a layout of the two of us at a birthday party she gave me at the Sanford House.  That was a very good day!!  There are two little plaques and one says "Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Sing like no one is listening, Dance like no one is watching".  The other plaque says "Seize The Day".

This is my computer desk and printer.  I have various photos of the kids and lots of little goodies that was given to us on the shelves.  The Cameron Family flag is above the desk.  We sponsored a hole at a golf tournament which was to raise funds for Arlington Charities sponsored by The Junior League of Arlington.
Of course I had to show the chair that we all love to sit while working on our computer.  It is Texas Longhorn.  Yeah!!!!

This is the closet where I store a lot of my scrapbooking supplies.  I have drawers full of stamps, papers, die cuts, and my Cuttle Bug.

This is the other side of the closet where I store many of my photos.  I have 2 more closets full of photos because with 4 children and 4 grandchildren I have a lot of photos.  I also have my  totes and if you notice I have many of my completed layouts hanging.  When I have enough of each child I will place them into an album.

Last but not least is the armoire where I keep my everyday items that I use.

Thank you so much for looking at my scrapbook room.  It has taken me awhile to get it all together but I rather like the look.

Hugs - Ginger
