Friends

This layout is one of my favorites!!  I wanted to make it so feminine and sweet.  The photo is my friend Suzan and I while we were at a wedding in Houston.  We have been friends for 60 years.  She is 3 months older than me and we lived next door to each other.  We always had a great time playing in the neighborhood.  Then one day my parents told me we were moving.  How sad I was leaving all my friends.  We, however, remained close and 39 years ago she married my cousin.  So now we are family!  How blessed I am!!!!

I love the Prima papers because they seem to have a very soft and dainty look.  I used white bazzill cardstock and then I found my Martha Stewart punch and used around the edges of the paper.  I then inked around it so it would stand out.  I had a lamp post which I used white crackle paint and then I inked around the edges.  I added little pink bows to each lamp as well.  I had several Prima flowers and some other little flowers from my stash.  I also added feathers to give the feel of something very soft.  I could not find a banner so I went online and found what I needed and put it into PowerPoint and added friends.  After I had the layout all together I added small pearls and then Star Dust stickles (little dots) all over the layout.

Always Dream

This is another layout I did for The Crafty Scrapper Design Team www.thecraftyscrapper.com .  I had enough papers left over that I decided to do this layout of my great grandfather Henry Preston Amsden.  He was born in 1881 and died 2 weeks after I got married in 1970.  He was such a very gentle and kind person.  He was also the towns blacksmith and he made the wagon he is pulling.  They were one of the first people to live in Whitehouse, Texas.

I used the following supplies:  Bo Bunny Et Cetera paper - Ledger, Mail Room, and Die cuts,
May Roads - Brown rose ribbon, Prima flowers, Zva flourishes, Chestnut Roan Ink, EK Success pearls, Prima butterfly, Maya Roads - stick pins

Time Traveler

This layout is one that I did for The Crafty Scrapper Design Team.  My friend Patty picked the papers, etc. up for me while I was on vacation.  It took me a week to figure out exactly what I needed to do.  The papers are from Bo Bunny and it had a very heritage feel to them.  So, I finally thought of my grandmother Louise.  I love her photo of when she was 9 and then I decided to had a photo of her today at age 99.   Hince the title "Time Traveler".  Since she is 99 she has seen so much in her lifetime that I thought it would be a perfect title.  I cut out the second paper and distressed it and then I sewed around it to give an older look.  I then inked it all with Chestnut Roan.  Bo Bunny also had a page of die cuts which I used as the background for her little photo.  While I was in Waxahachie, Texas, at The Crafty Scrapper, I found the little pocket watch piece.  I then found from KaiserCraft the little photo to place her today picture.  I used Brown dabber, then I dry brushed it with Making Memories celery green and gold paint.  I loved doing this for it really shows off the photos.  On the pocket watch I added a butterfly, leaf, cherub, and a curly q!!  I also cut out a small piece of paper and inked it and placed on it as well.  I was given the ribbon (wish I knew who made it) and added orange pearls from EK Success.  The flowers are Prima.  I then added "Louise" and little butterflies that I have had for some time.

Materials Used:  Bo Bunny Et Cetera Stampled paper, Bo Bunny Et Cetera Geography, and Die cut paper.
Making Memories, Celery, Brown, and gold paint, Chestnut Roan Ink, Prima Flowers ( Summer Carnation Lemon) and others, Studio 490 - Pocket Watch, KaiserCraft - Frame, Maya Roads Ribbon; EK Success pearls; Zva Flourishes

Me & My Babydoll

I just love this little photo of my gd Kenzie.  She was playing outside with her little doll and in one glance I knew that a photo had to be taken.  I love the Creative Imagination paper and Pink Paislee Botanical Gardens.  They are just too yummy! I also had Girl Paperie pink alphabet from another project which I used for the words Me & my babydoll.   On the paper I cut out some of butterflies...just a little ...not all the way!!!  I then popped out the little wings!!!  I just love it!!   I then added the little wooden piece from Kaisercraft which I painted with Cough Syrup by Jenni Bowlin and added little pearls.  I also added a little bow around the Prima flowers .  I also found October Afternoon alpabet and spelled her little name Kenzie.  I have a heart punch which I punched out 2 hearts and added stickles to make them sparkle.

Colby - My New Grandson

This is my new and very sweet little Colby.  He was born May 19, 2011.  He spent his first week in the NICU unit due to him inhaling fluid.  They put him on antibiotics to help with infection which meant he would be there for a week.  He is a sweet little boy and he looks just like his dad (Chris - my son).  Even his wife said she gave birth to another little one that looks just like their dad.  LOL  His sister Kenzie was so excited and she helps mom take care of him.

The two photos were taken of him a few weeks ago.  I just love each one of them.  I used  Bazzil carstock, Karen Foster - Bundle UP Blanket paper, Chestnut Roan Ink, Prima flowers, Blue Pearls, and K & Company die cuts.  I really enjoyed working on this little page.
