Hope

This layout means a lot to me.  This is my grandmother and this is her birthday party and she turned 106 years old.  To every ones surprise she received an envelope from the White House.  There was a picture of Donald Trump and a sweet note congratulating her on her birthday.  It is signed by President Trump and Melania the First Lady.

Here is the case file # 265

Please see my close-ups:

The note read:
Happy  106th Birthday!   Congratulations on this wonderful occasion.  We hope your heart is filled with joy knowing you have experienced our Nation's greatest blessings and the affection of your loved ones over a long, well-lived life.

We are delighted to join your family and friends in wishing you continued good health and happiness.

Sincerely,

Donald Trump    Melania Trump

Thank you for looking and happy scrapping!!

Cherish

This is my sweet grandson Jaxson and his dog Buddy!  I love the colors of case # 264.  The blues, red, and gray go so well with this photo.

Jaxson loves the outside and his grandpa takes him for a ride everyday with his little dog in tow.  They are normally gone for 45 minutes to an hour and afterwards both Jaxson and grandpa needs a nap!

Here is the case:

Here are the close-ups!

I used a stamp, watercolors, and I dipped my fan brush into blue watercolor that I diluted and make the marks on the background.  I also used marker to go around the photo and the other two papers.

I decided to tear the main paper and then added corrugated paper and tore it and then added the last paper.  I used a die-cut for the clock and cut into and placed at opposites sides of each other.  I used art stones as well plus sequins.

Here is a list of items that I used:

Prima paper; art stones
Bazzill corrugated paper
Tim Holtz - Clock die-cut, leaf die-cut
Michaels & Hobby Lobby - flowers, Cherish (word)
From my stash - chicken wire stamp, black marker, watercolors

Thanks for taking a look and Happy Scrapping!!

Time Marches On

Hello!  Here is my latest layout for CSI and Page Maps.  I had to use two photos and colors.  I chose these two photos of my grandmother Louise in 1925 and the picture of the home she was born in.   In fact I visited her parents while they still lived in the house. I was married two weeks when my great grandfather passed away in 1970 and I had two children when my grandmother died in 1977.   My grandmother is 106 years old and a blessing!!

Here is the case fille# 263

I really thought the colors worked so well with these two photos.

Please see the close-ups:

This is what PageMaps sent to me:

This was a lot of fun to work on this month.  Please check out CSI Color Stories Inspiration and PageMaps.

Thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping!!

Love Changes Everything

Hello all!  I really loved the colors in this layout # 261 for CSI.  It so reminded me of my grandson Logan who after just turning 18 he is now enrolled at OSU!  I could not be more proud of him and I love him so much!  This picture is of him on his birthday which Pawpaw and I where with him as he went to court to legally change his name to Gray.  So here is Logan Matthew Gray!

This picture is Logan and he looks so handsome!

Here is the challenge:

The color scheme looks so masculine!  It really inspired me!

Here are the close-ups!

I used a stencil, stamps, watercolors, and tape for the background.  I then added flowers, die-cuts, and stone beads.

I cut out the feathers and butterfly, and used a die cut for the clock.

Most of the items are from my stash.

Thanks for looking and have a scrapping good day!

Estes Park

Hello friends!  This is my layout for the CSI Design Team.  I love the colors which reminded me of our trip to Colorado this year.  Our son Chris and his two children, Kenzie and Colby, went with us.  Seeing the Rocky Mountains is so breathtaking.  While on our way there we stopped and saw chipmunks so the kids got out to feed them.

Here is my layout:

Here is the challenge:

I used die cuts for the leaves and added these micro beads.

I used a pen to add the stitching and to go around the tag and 10 cent.

I made this butterfly and painted it.

Here you can see I used several pages to the border.  I also used my computer to create Estes Park.

Here is a list of items that I used:

Tim Holtz - Die-cut leaves
Michaels - Flowers and small butterflies
My stash - large butterfly punch, black ink pen, small clocks, ribbon

Remembering My Childhood

Hello my friends!  Today I am sharing a layout I did for the design team at CSI.  The colors we had to use are so soft and beautiful that it reminded me of my childhood.  There are three photos that I used which one is just me, the next one is my sister and me plus our cousins, and the last photo is my sister and me and two of my friends.

Here is the challenge:

Please see my close-ups:

I love this banner I created and then I hand drew the zig zag stitching about it.  I also added micro beads to various parts of this layout.  Here you can see the different layers of papers that I used.

I stamped the butterflies and then cut them out.

I added three small circles around each photos and then added stickles.

I used Tim Holtz die-cut for the leaves.  I very rarely use green for the leaves.  I think using various colors makes the flowers stand out more.

Here is a list of items that I used:

Martha Stewart - Circle cutter
Tim Holtz - Leaf Die-cut
Petaloo and Michaels - Flowers
Bo Bunny - Butterfly Stamps

Thank you for looking and happy scrapping!
