Remember When ...

Remember when ...  I was much younger.  This photo is me when I was 17 in 1968.  The top photo is me now at age 62!  Geez - It seems like yesterday until I look in the mirror!  Or it could be when I see my 4 children age 40 to age 30 along with my 4 grandchildren.  I realize that time really does fly by.  Especially when I visit my mother age 81 who has Alzheimer  and her mother (my grandmother) who will be 101 this summer.  She still drives, lives in her own apartment, and will go visit my mother.

I wanted to do a layout different from anything that I have ever done.  I used Gesso paint and lots of stamps.  I then tore scrap pieces of paper and started layering it all together.

You can see here the various layers that I used.

This is a closer look at the flowers that I used plus all the other additions.

The top left corner of his layout with the layering of items.

I used the follow items but is just scraps that I have around my scrapbook room:

White Gesso Paint
Dark, light Pink, Green Paint
Prima Flowers
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch

Beautiful

I have always loved this photo of my daughters Heather and Mandy with Logan - Mandy's son.  I have joined a challenge on scrapbook.com for Pintrest which has the colors of red, white, and blue.  I was in the mood to scrap so I just looked around for papers that might work.  I found the background paper from BoBunny and another from Fabscrap.  I am not sure who did the paper with the birds but I believe it might be from Melissa Francis.  Sorry...but I tossed away the rest of the paper!  I cut out a circle and added modeling paste to a mask (the clock).  I stamped the little hearts and added lots of flowers.  I also used a blue ink  around the edges of the papers.  I used a dark blue ribbon from Maya Roads - at least I believe it is by them for I have had it a year!

Here is a list of items that I used:

BoBunny - Serinity Damask Paper
Fabscrap - Shabby Chic Stripe Paper
Martha Stewart - Circle Cutter
Liquitex - Modeling Paste
Maya Roads - Flowers
Prima - Flowers
Blue Ink
Prima - Junkyard Findings - Lamp

My Great Great Grandfathers Hat

This is my youngest grandchild Colby.  He found a hat that belong to my grandfather who was born in 1904. He passed away in 1986 but my grandmother is still with us today.  She is 100 years old!! Wow!!  He loves this hat plus he was eating a chocolate cookie and it seems he left a lot of it on his face!

I used various papers - front and back - plus distress it and then inked.  I added a clock and took inks and added brown and blue.  I found various other items in my stash and brought it all together.

Here is a close up of the various items that I used.  I had a light bulb that I have had for about 6 years and thought it would work on this layout.  It is amazing what I find when I start looking around!

Here are the flowers that I used.  The top blue one needed a center and looking through my stash I found this cute little monkey button.  LOL  So, I placed it there!

At The Park

I love this photo of Colby at the Park.  His mother took this photo one day while the weather was warm outside.  One never knows if it will be hot or cold here in Texas.  I used Melissa Francis as the background paper and My Mind's Eye and Glitz papers.  I layered this layout a lot which it was rather fun to create.

As you can see on this there are several layers - the corregated cardstock, and papers plus the photo.  I then added the chipboard from Fabscrap.

Here is the lower right corner which I added flowers and I printed out leaves and cut them out.  One of the flowers I found a bumble bee and glued that into the center of the flower.

This is the top left corner of the layout.  I have several layers and added a burlap bow, inked the photo, and added the tags that say Park!  This layout took my about 2 hours from start to finish.  It was so much fun!

Here is the list of items that I used:

Melissa Francis - Paper
My Mind's Eye - Paper
Glitz - Paper
Melissa Francis - Bicycle & Green Map of streets
Burlap Ribbon - TCS
Maya Roads - Tags
Prima - Flowers
Corregated Chipboard
Tim Holtz - Distress Ink - Vintage Photo

Lets Cook

Isn't she cute!!!  This is my granddaughter Kenzie and she was in the kitchen with her mom cooking.  Of course she had on her little hat and apron.  I used Moxxie paper "Joy of Baking" for the background and found this cute red and white paper from ... A Boy's Life".  Go figure!!  Anyway, I cut out the red and white paper and then inked it in brown and I also have a small punch (the curly q) and punched around the paper.  I then cut smaller papers out and then added this photo.  I used ribbon, flowers, and little hearts and cookie cutters.  I have a tea pot stamp which I stamped it out 3 times and then added it to the top of the page.

Here is a closer look at the different layering that I did.

You Inspire Me

I did this layout for the Expo Convention in Grapevine, Texas.  It is for the Design Team at The Crafty Scrapper.  I used Authentique papers which I love plus these two little photos of my granddaughters Kenzie and Paityn.  I had taken these photos during summer and put flowers in there hair.  I inked the outside edges of the papers and used from Studio 490 Modeling Paste.  I also used Tim Holtz clock die cut.  I took pieces of the paper and folded them to look like a ribbon and inked the edges as well.  At the top I used an ink pen to draw the flowers and leaves and then I painted them.  I rather like the look.  I added the tag that says You Inspire Me and placed the metal tag sideways to give it a different look.

Here is the list of items that I used:

Authentique - Grace Collection - Heart Paper, Poised Paper
Studio 490 Embossing Paste - Metallic Gold
Tim Holtz - Distress Ink - Peeled Paint
Maya Roads - Flowers, Stick Pins
Flowers - TCS
Viva - Pearl Pen - Ice White
Martha Stewart - Butterfly Punch
Metal Tag - TCS

Heather Rene' - Mini Album

I did this sweet mini album for the Design Team at The Crafty Scrapper.  I was requested to do this for the Expo Convention in Grapevine, Texas.   I had 5 days to complete this plus 2 other projects as well.  On this mini album each page had a different cut out.  On this cover I just added the paper from Authentique added lots of flowers and my daughters initials.  I then added lots of ribbon from TCS as well.

On this page I used Authentique papers again and added some flowers and a heart hanger plus butterflies and a tag that says Celebration..  I also inked the papers.

On this page I used a poem To My Daughter which also shows on the front of the album.  I used Authentique papers again and beautiful lowers plus ribbon from TCS.

I love these two photo of Heather.  She in her tub and on the bouncy ball!!  I used Authentique papers and added lots of flowers!

I love this little photo.  Of course this page had a cut out so I circled it with lace and added ribbon, flowers, and a butterfly.  I then placed her name on the other side of the oval.

Of course this page had the cutout which shows the photo of the previous page.  I did add 2 other photos with lots of flowers.  These two photos are Heather when she was in high school.  The top photo is when she wins 2 plaques with her name on each one for soccer and the bottom is her going to the boys soccer banquet.

This photo is Heather and her prom date Chris.  They looked so cute together.  I found this poem and then added the metal piece and added a flower plus ribbon.

The photo on the left is her graduation photo in 1991.  The other two are just various photos of her which I believe are gorgeous.  I took a stamp and then tore other pages plus inked them.  I then added the ribbon and the light bulb and flower.

The photo on the left is one that was taken last year.  We were giving my daughter-in-law a baby shower and it was a beautiful sunny day and we requested that it would be a hat day! LOL  This page also had a cute out which you can see the next page photo.  I used flowers, ribbon, etc. on this page.

On this page it too had a cut out which you can see the photo from the previous page.  I added a poem and a pretty bow with a flower.

The top left photo was taken recently.  She ordered these glasses and sent me this cute photo of herself.  She wears contacts so these glasses had no prescription.  LOL  the other two photos were taken by Blue Moon Photography.  They take photos of the stars in Hollywood.  Obviously these are the head shots.  I added flowers plus modeling paste.
