The Gate

I did this mini album for the Design Team at The Crafty Scrapper.  I love this little album.  I decided to do this of my parents when they were first married in 1949.  My dad is no longer alive but my mom is 80.  Dad died 2 years ago at the age of 85.  I miss him terribly!!  This album is by Maya Roads.

I started this album off with a little quote which I love...it says:

"Bask on its golden hinges
The gate of Memory swings,
And my heart goes into the garden
And walks with the olden things."

This is my dad at age 24 and my mom at 17.   They are full of life and are so young!

On these two pages I decided to use tags to display their photos.  They each are holding their new little puppy named Cookie.

These two photos were taken shortly after they were married.  Again, look how young they are!!

This is how they looked about 10 years before my dad passed away.

Thank you so much for looking at this mini album I created.  It takes my breath away every time I look at it for I so miss my dad.

These are the items that I used:

Maya Roads - Bird, Stick Pins, Flourishes, Cloth Butterfly, & The Album
Tim Holtz - Distressed Ink - Vintage Photo, Hinge, Stains - Rusty Hinge & Chipped Sapphire
Prima - Flowers, Leaves
Zva - Pearls
Maratha Stewart - Punches
Various Papers - Pink Paislee, Prima, etc.
Making Memories - Paint - Aqua

Please visit The Crafty Scrapper and thanks again for looking!!

Hugs - Ginger

  1. What a lovely album...how lucky you are to have these photos. Nice work, super details. I visit often but find it difficult to leave comments because of the Word Verification needed to post a remark. (hard to read!) Have a nice week~
