Life Is Sweet

Well…I have to say I really love these papers which were given to me by The Crafty Scrapper Design Team.  Most of all I really love this sweet little photo of my
granddaughter Kenzie.  I think she looks so sweet and it makes me smile!

These papers are from BoBunny – Doubledot Collection; Pink Paislee – Hello Sunshine Collection; and Authentique – Faith Collection.They all work well together.

I distressed the papers and on one, I used a scalloped blade and inked.the edges.  I painted the chipboard piece with Gesso and then added green and brown.  I used
Perfect Pearls to make the buds.  I added lots of butterflies and used
all the beautiful flowers that were given to me.

Good Times

Hello!  This is Ginger here with my newest layout “Good Times.  I loved this paper by Doodle Bug, Pebbles, and Authentique.  It was perfect for this photo of my oldest grandson Logan.  He had just finished up his normal baseball season and he was selected to play in the All Star Games!

 

 

 

I distressed the papers and then cut out my own banners and inked them with Tim Holtz distressed ink Vintage Photo.  I was also given this cute blue ribbon with stars.  I had in my stash the hinges and I used embossing power to turn these into a gold color.  I then added mini pearls to them.  I was also given the small squares and circles and I added alphabet to spell out Logan.  That was after I painted them.  I then took flowers from Petaloo and added them to the top right corner.  I was also given the pinwheels and a small chipboard piece that had an arrow on it which I painted it and then added wooden bats.  Last but not least was this cute frame that I found.  I painted it and then added stickles.

This was a very easy layout to make but I loved the way it turned out!

Remember

I love these two photos.  My Dad, Mom, and me in 1952 while we were vacationing in Galveston, Texas.  My dad passed away four years ago and my mom has Alzhiemer's Disease.

I found this lovely paper and away went my imagination.

I cut out the blue paper and added ink and little embellishments to the outside.  I took yellow paper and used a circle cutter by Martha Stewart.  I made the banners and then printed up the wording!

# 129 You're The Sunshine Of My Life

This is my version of CSI # 129 challenge.  I really do not ever expect to win but I love the challenge it gives to me.  This week the main color is yellow which happens to be my favorite.  I also call my youngest child Christopher Colby "Sunshine".  So I decided to put together this little layout about him.

I loved the colors of yellow, dark and light gray, and celery green plus white.  I distressed the papers and inked them.  I adding modeling paste to the little strips on the right end of the layout.  I then took a hot glue gun and made the sun, then outlined it with black marker.  I then added yellow spray.  Once all that dried I added a bright yellow paint to the rays.

There main goal is journaling.  I  made most of my journaling in the rolled up paper that I placed within the flowers.  However, they wanted something written in 6 words so that is why I printed up 

"You're The Sunshine Of  My Life".

# 128 Sisters

I am sharing this layout that I have done for CSI Color Stories Inspiration.  It is case file # 128.

This photo is me when I was 5 and my sister Sally was 3 in 1956.  We have always been close but now that we are a lot older we now share in the responsibility of caring for our Mother who has Alzheimer's.  I have her medical and she her finances.  It has been a long several years, very hard at times, which we have even cried on many occasions.  Some out of frustrations and other times just because we are so tired.

The scheme:  I used all 5 colors

This layout took me several days to complete.  I really put a lot of thought into this for I wanted it to be so perfect about my feelings and journaling.

# 127 - Always & Forever

Hello All!  this is my version of case # 127 at CSI Color Stories & Inspiration.  We were given a layout to use as our guide on this case.

This was the basic idea of the layout that was given to us.    This is very simple which I loved.  However, it is different than most of my layouts.  It really look me awhile to come up with this.  We will know on Wednesday who the winners are.

# 126 - Celebrate The First Day of Summer

These are two cute photos of took of my granddaughter Paityn while we were at the coast.  It was the first day of summer and she  put this little hat on and was ready to go to the beach.  Isn't  she cute!

I did this layout for case # 126 at CSI.  I had to use certain colors and ornaments and some journaling.  

I have never won yet but that does not matter.  For you see I get to make a new layout each month and I find that completely satisfying!
