Fearless

Hello friends!  I did this layout for More Than Words Challenge.  I love their challenges.  This one was grunge and you had to use the word Fearless.

This is my layout.

I love this photo of my Mom.  She passed away two years ago but I thought of this black and white photo would go perfect with grunge.  This paper I found and I thought it would work.

Here is the challenge.

September 2017 Main Challenge
FEARLESS & GRUNGE

It's September, and in the North, people are saying 'Where has the Summer gone?!'
and in the South, people are happy that it is finally Spring!
Wherever you are though, September is a great month to scrapbook,
so hopefully you will join in on our new Main Challenge!

Along with a fabulous challenge, we have a surprise for you...
a new amazing manufacturer has joined our sponsor lineup
and thanks to them, we can offer not 2, but 3 random prizes this month,
along with our usual list of merit and mystery prizes...
So definitely extra incentive to play along!
Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.
The challenge is open to layouts, canvases and art journal pages only.
Make sure to carefully read our instructions below.
Word Inspiration - FEARLESS
Creative Challenge - GRUNGE
What does the word FEARLESS inspire you to create?
You can choose to use the actual word somewhere on your project
or simply be inspired by it.  Since, as you are aware, words
are an integral part of our challenges, we want to know
how this month's word stimulated your creative process,
so please do explain in your blog post how it inspired you!

GRUNGE is defined as a deliberately untidy and uncoordinated style. Whether it focuses on dark colours, a distressed or stained look, punk graffiti, messy designs, one thing's for certain... you have to not be scared of taking risks.  So be fearless and let's get grungy!

VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER ABOUT MTW RULES!
To be eligible to win, you have to incorporate both requirements of the challenge,
the word inspiration and the creative challenge.
Just look at our designers' projects and descriptions as examples.

You must also include our board image as well as a link to our blog in your entry post.  AND you may combine our challenge with no more than 2 other challenges.

Please see the close-ups!

This was the first time I tried doing a layout in grunge and I rather like it!  Thank you for looking and have a great day!

Together

Hello friends!  I did this sweet layout for the Design Team at CSI Color Stories Inspiration.  I love everything about this challenge.

This picture is so dear to me.  It is my granddaughter Paityn and her little brother Jaxson.  It is so sweet.

Here is the challenge:

Here is how I solved this case:

The Scheme:  I used all five colors
The Evidence:  Polka Dots, Flowers, String
The Testimony:  Together - On the tag it says:  This is my sweet granddaughter and her little brother.  She is so sweet and gentle with him.  They are sitting underneath a large tree and the breeze is so calming.  I love days like this.

Please see the close-ups!

I added various flowers and used a die-cut for the leaves.

You can see here the various layers of papers that I used.

I cut out a circle, added flowers, and used a die-cut for the word together.  I also used micro beads.

Again you can see the papers and this sweet little butterfly.

Here is a list of products that I used.

Papers - Various papers in my stash
Corrugated white and brown paper - Michaels
Butterflies (Large ones and small one) - Michaels
Martha Stewart Circle Cutter
Flowers - Michaels -
Tim Holtz - Die Cuts Leaves
Prima - Micro Beads

Thank for for looking and have a great day!

Painting

Hello my friends!  I did this layout for the Design Team at CSI.  This is my granddaughter Paityn and she loves to paint.  So her mom signed her up at Painting With A Twist this summer.  She did extremely well and we are all so very proud of her.

Here is the case:

Here is how I solved this case:

The Scheme:  I used all 5 colors
The Evidence:  Stripes, Triangles, School Theme Stuff
The Testimony:  Painting

Here are my close-ups!

I used a stencil and cut out the triangles and just placed them throughout the layout.   I also used twine and various flowers plus added leaves.

I used twine to add the letters.

I cut out this banner, added the stitching and then Paityn.

I printed off my computer this easel but I added this paint brush.

Thank you for looking and may you have a great day!
