Hello my friends! Today I am sharing my take on CSI Color Stories Inspiration challenge.
These photos are my sister Sally and me. They were taken in the late 1950's. I really thought they worked well with the challenge and the sketch.
Here is the challenge and sketch.
Here is how I solved it:
The Scheme: I used all five colors
The Evidence: Polka Dots, Flowers, Bling, Watercolors
The Testimony: Sisters - There is nothing like a dream to create the future; Leave a little sparkle wherever you go
Please see the close-ups:
I tore several papers and then added touches of lace. I also added stamps to the background. We loved to play in my grandmothers slips and shoes.
I sprinkled small black dots of watercolor to the page.
I added stamps, and I drew the stitching.
Here is a list of products that I used:
BoBunny - Faith Collection - Faith Light Paper
Kaisercraft - Cherry Tree Lane Collection
Tim Holtz - Leaf Die-cuts
Martha Stewart - Butterfly Die-cut
Flowers, Butterflies, Lace, Corrugated Cardstock, Watercolors, - My stash
Thank you again for stopping by and I wish you a very happy day!
Hugs – Ginger
That is just so sweet, Ginger. I love your signature paper tearing with bits of lace showing. The addition of the yellow ties in with the chartreuse paper and the butterfly embellishments. I love the purple and turquoise flower grouping. How nice that you have those photos of you and your sister. It looks like you were close in age so you must have been good friends as well. Great job. TFS.
