Soccer

Hello Everyone - Ginger here today to show you my new layout.
This is a photo of my sweet granddaughter Kenzie playing soccer this year.  She is just 5 years old and having a great time.  At this age they are all so cute!! The papers are by Echo Park and they go perfectly with the color of her team!
I distressed the edges and turned the corners inward. I did the same thing with the orange paper to give it a sense of balance.    On the back of one of the papers was soccer ball print.    I cut it out into a circle which gave me a nice soccer ball.
Here I used various flowers from Petaloo and Prima.  I found in my stash this ribbon and used it to gather the flowers.  The three little buds I made by just rolling up paper.  Can't get easier than that!!
Again I rolled up paper to make these little buds and added leaves.    You can also see I used black, orange, and then the soccer ball which I used my Tim Holtz page edger.    I also had this wooden hinge and painted it black and added little pearls.
The word soccer I painted black and while it was still wet I added little black beads.  I was given the little circle with the star but decided to use them separately.  I added the button with the heart to the circle and painted the star yellow and added my granddaughters name...Kenzie!
I did a lot of distressing on the papers.  I also added by Martha Stewart a punch to the soccer paper and added ink. I also used two papers around the photos and distressed them as well.

Using Mists/Paints- March Challenge

Are you ready for a new challenge??

It is time for The Crafty Scrapper March Challenge!
This month we are all about using those Mists and Paints-
you know you have 'em! I have DRAWERS full of them.
Seriously.

So let's break out the mists and paints and get to work!
Here is the project I made for this month's challenge

I used new Anchored papers by Authentique for this layout.
To get the look from my mists, I positioned my mask and sprayed, then picked
the mask up and flipped it over on the other side of the paper. This gives me two
patterns from the same mask ;o)

I love this Maya Road ribbon- it was perfect for this layout!

Some Prima Flowers and bling from Want2Scrap. The title was cut using my
Silhouette Cameo and Bazzill cardstock.

Here you can see the two patterns from the mask; the left side got sprayed
and the right side is where I flipped the mask over.

So what are you waiting on??
Get to misting or painting!!

This months winner will receive a fabulous prize pack of
American Crafts Goodies!

You have until March 31st to link up your project below.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Thankful

Hello!  It is Ginger here today with my latest layout.

I love these two photos which is me and three of my grandchildren...Logan, Kenzie, and Colby.  Each year after Christmas we take as many of the grandkids to a resort in East, Texas.  This one is on Lake Palestine outside of Tyler, Texas.  We had a log cabin and the views were spectacular!
I love the papers  by Studio Calico and Prima!  They go so well with the photos because they are so beautiful and bright in color.  I distressed, inked, cut out, and added lots of goodies to this layout.
I used Martha Stewart circle cutter and then inked around the outside.  I also inked the key and added a button to the small yellow flower.  I used modeling paste, then added brown ink, and last but not least I took a fine tip marker and went around each little square to make it stand out better.  The outside of the paper were distressed and inked as well.
I wrote our names and then inked it, added the leaves and yellow flower.  I also distressed around the photo and inked it as well.
This layout was very easy to make!
